Have to take it slow man , like I said every single tank has a cycle with a spike and some algae. Just sit back and enjoy the ride in a few months the tank will have a sweet mini reef system going!

I kinda want to turn it into a mantis shrimp tank. Would i still have to wait for my tank to cycle becasue i already have one fish, so when i put the mantis shrimp in he could just eat the blenny.

letting the tank cycle is the worst torture in this hobby but it is worth it in the end

but it's your tank and imo if you want a mantis tank, sell your blenny to someone of give it back to the LFS. please don't use it as food

Really???
Why would you want to let it eat the blenny? Turn it into a mantis tank fine but take the poor blenny out, And your still gonna have to let that tank properly cycle or your gonna have a dead mantis...

Have to agree, don't put the little guy through more torture. He's already stressed from the cycle no need to get him munched on by a mantis. Stop doing stuff, don't add anything and IMO and don't make it a mantis tank. You're going to want coral and then your going to want nano fish and then the mantis is going to have to go. Just stop changing your mind, come get some more liverock from my tank and take it slow!!!

Question I want to see the end results but...

I mean no offense to you Flucker, but what are you trying to accomplish with your tank here? Why are you posting this information wanting feedback from other reefer's and not paying any attention to their advice? What research have you done? What experience do you have with reef systems other than this potentialy beautiful tank?

If your reef system makes it through all of this, and I mean all of the coral and fish, I will be amazed and I will call that a once in a lifetime.

But yah, take some time and read through Canreef and do some research, you will find that everyone that has posted "TAKE IT EASY!" has a reason to say so. But yah, if you do pull off this tank going the way that you are going, then I look forward to the end result. But I will have a higher chance of seeing the end result of this reef system if you listen to some of the more experienced reefers.

Good Luck Flucker!

Oh dear god tell me you don't have a Ritteri in that tank? ( aka Magnificent)
Those are one of the hardest nems next to a gigantea that you can have and you have mixed it with a condy and some other sea anemone and some bubble tips?
You are gonna kill it.... Look at the fact that you have a BRAND new tank and you have piled it full of things that should be held off on untill at least the 3-6 month mark but you are mixing species of things that should NEVER be mixed in a small tank....
Have you read on what Magnificent anemones need?
You do not have enough light, flow, or room for that nem let alone a whole crap load worth of other anemones that you can't provide the right enviroment for except for maybe the bubble tips. I wish you would listen to what everyone has been telling you all along....SLOW DOWN and do some research...You are going to have some wicked fighting going on with all those anemones and they are gonna die one by one when they don't need to.
