Little white sand stars sound cool. Too bad you're too far away for a LS trade.

I don't think they're sand stars anyway. Really I have no idea what they are. I've seen them in many tanks around here. They seem to just eat diatoms and multiply like rabbits. There's a similar one on the upper left corner of Emily's photo. There is many differant and very colorful stars that appear to be reef safe. I guess the trick is to find one that you can keep happy. I don't think there is much written on their care (haven't come across much.) I've been able to keep the one in question for quite some time so far As far as the linckia, 8-12 months and gone. Maybe somebody here can share some knowledge on keeping them.

As per far away, I dream of living on the island. Only problem is to find a long term work place.

Give me a note if you want photos of the stars I have had luck with so far.
