This is why I have my good tools, and my beat up tools. Every tool ends up in the beat up pile eventually, and the good tools get refreshed when necessary.

No need to go farther than the kitchen, I never knew kitchen utensils had so many uses... I left the room when she tried to open a can with a butchering knife (we do own 3 working can openers!).
