![]() The Kanai live rock finally shipped from J & L. Luckily my father in law was coming for the day so he picked it up and brought it out saving me a trip. This LR was definately direct from the ocean or something. A few days in a seperate container with powerheads and skimmer and it was ready to go in the tank. Click here for larger pictures. Got some fairly large chunks and they are wonderfully shaped.

![]() Unfortunately I had a pretty large crab hitchiker, saw various body parts floating around after using the baster to blast loose some material. He must have been in a nice crevice since I did not notice him at all even during all the water dips and transfers back and forth between containers. I'm pretty sure he was already dead by the time I got the rock.
Other than that it looks like I have a few sponges making a come back already, too early to tell though. I definately have some green zoanthus but they are in a spot difficult to photograph. Haven't noticed anything else obvious yet.

![]() I will bet you find a lot more than just one crab. Besides numerous other organisms I have posted about in the past while, I am now seeing numerous small clams and HORDES of 5-15mm snails on my Kanai rock.
