It's got about 4 or 5 years of buildup. Skimmer in question is a RSB.

Sitting it in vinegar is one option I was considering for the ait intake since that's an area that's comparatively harder to clean out.

I dunno .. it was just an idea and I thought I'd ask if it had ever occured to anyone else.
