I bought it as a brown blob. It took about 4-5 months to color up, and almost a year to show any growth.

Funny thing, I didn't think much of it, and placed a colony in front of it! So I never really see it.

Hmm,

There are some minor similarities but they are different. The piece that sold has different growth patterns and the color is uniform from the bottom up.

Interesting none the less.......

I'm going for Acropora Aculeus or some sort of bonsi, taking a very wild guess and am going to say some sort of branching Cyphastrea. We would need Greg for a real positive ID though.
