![]() You can check your membrane by measuring the output after the RO and before the DI with a TDS meter. When it falls below 95% removal of the TDS in tap water, it is time to replace the membrane. We have done this once in two years, but we run a LOT of water.
Replacing cartridges also significantly depends on how much water you are running through the unit.... |

![]() I replace my prefilter every 2 months and my carbon every three. If I notice pressure dropping below 75% normal, I replace more often.

![]() what i do is put a 3.00 5 micron filter ahead of my 1 micron and my carbon. this catches the algae in our water and allows me to go 6 months or more on the more expensive ones.
