![]() ![]() On a somewhat related question .. what kind of TDS are Calgarians pulling AFTER their RO? I bought a new membrane recently and it rarely reads under 5. I'm going through DI resin like crazy as a result. My last one seemed to register 0 or 1 way more often and I'm wondering what's more normal. I'm kind of thinking I got a dud membrane or maybe it's a brand or rejection rating kind of thing.

Tony, Do you flush your membrane? Also, do you have a reservoir tank on your RO/DI? ...and if you run it for a few minutes, then take a sample does it read lower?

![]() Yes, I flush it at the beginning of every fill into the reservoir. I don't know if I'm doing this right, but here's what I do: I leave the bypass valve open until the TDS reads <10, it takes quite a few minutes to get down to that level. It might come down to anywhere from 0 to 2, if I wait as long as 10 minutes on the flush, but even then sometimes a couple hours later I'll come check it again and it's bounced back up to 5 or so.
