Sea Egg (urchin, Tripneustes spp) not good for reef tank?

They are hit and miss for cleaning algae. I had this one in my old tank that did a good job on some hair algae . If it is small like 2" and under I would hold onto it. Mine is 3" now and it is my wife favorite thing in the tank. Needless to say it is staying. It really has about one insedent a week where it nocks something loose or is wairing a zoa hat.
