Default 200 Gal Tank with stand SW Calgary

Tank and Metal Stand 800$obo

the tank is 2' wide 9' Long and 18" deep it has low iron glass on one of the viewable panels. it has 2 corner overflows diagonally across from each other. i bought the tank this way i don't fully understand it but it works. one of the over flows is drilled with 1 1½" hole and 1 1" hole. the other over flow has 2 1½" holes and 1 1" hole. the bottom of the tank is drilled for a closed loop system that was run by 2 ocean motion 4 ways on sequence hammerhead pumps the bottom of the tank has 2 2" holes drilled in it for the closed loop return to pump and 16 1½" holes for return to tank. this setup worked well for me. the tank is euro braced and has a center brace. unfortunately due to the size of the tank it was required that i cut it apart to get it down my basement stairs, so the purchaser of the tank would have to have it resiliconed together. if your not up to it i know the man who built the tank, and could probably arrange something with him to rebuild it for you.

the stand is 48" tall built out of 1" square steel tubing. i had it modified from its original height of 32" so that it was at a more comfortable viewing height. you could always have my height reduced and re welded to whatever height you chose.

i have had some questions about the stand. its a steel stand with a wood overlay i have had to take the wood overlay off of the steel stand to dismantle the tank, the wood overlay is not salvagible.

what is a fair price for this tank and stand? is my price to high?

I dont think its the price. it may be the sheer size of the tank.

9' long may be tough for most people to fit into thier homes.

However, I'm sure the longer panels can be cut down to make a shorter tank...6', 7', 8' or any size in between.

I have a VERY similar tank at home but's an 8 footer.

GL with sale.

Price is good, its probably related to the size and work needed to move and re-assemble the tank.
