try to give as much paramater stability as possible and keep checking for the snails, a new batch of eggs could be hatching as we speak.....

Well I don't think it is going to make it. It is still alive but me thinks it's time to pull the plug.
Any thoughts? No snails for a few days now and I pulled a big crab yesterday.
