Hey - we'll call you Snappy Junior! Or maybe a Coral Master franchise?

My wife's family is great. They gave me my own room, where the tank is as well. They've taken a bit of interest in the hobby, as well as some of their friends. There's a keen interest in general about this hobby out here, I guess because it would still be considered new in this area. Whatever business I involve myself in should do well. Or should I say, could do well depending on the ecomony.

I haven't been around much to keep this thread updated. In recent weeks I've had a bit more time to get re-aquainted with the hobby.

The tank is doing well for the most part since I moved into the new house, but I'm still battling GHA. I'm hoping that a new Phosban reactor and nitrate sponge will supply me with better ammo though. I should be getting it Monday from J&L. Along with a battle group of reef janitors. I have to get the water clean and clear before setting up my prototype frag tank. It won't be much for now, just a small 12 gallon rubbermaid bin that I'll modify for frags. It's shallow too so I won't need all that much light. I'll post pics as I go along with it.

For now, here's an updated pic of my tank from today.

New "budget" frag tank is up and running. It's a 10 gallon Sterlight bin but offers a ton of surface area due to it's low hight. The main tank drains directly into it, which then drains into the sump. My light is only a single 10k 65 watt PC for now, but an upgrade may be in the future. This is just a prototype really, just to see how I can manage my first frag tank. So far I only have LPS, softies and a few easy SPS. If they do well I'll start adding some of the other corals from the main tank to see how they do.

if you can find some cheap t5's go with that as those are great at growing frags.
