Anemone Questions

At the time I was only running regular florescents (I was new and ignorant) but I fed the anemone krill or silversides every couple of days. Under that lighting it took a long time to color up and it only turned a light pink. Once I switched to metal halide it really darkened up to what you see in the picture. Like Marie said it took a long time to darken and looking back I think I was just lucky that it didnt die in my tank.
