![]() Short Manual for the Ultralith System
A: 1 liter of Ultralith per 400 L. Start with 25 % of recommended dose and increase by 25 % every 2 weeks. After reaching 100 %, exchange 50 % of Ultralith every 4 weeks. if the tanks runs longer time and have more nutrition it is also possible to change every 6 weeks 100 % of the Ultralith and let a handful old Ultralith rocks in the reactor or in the bag. this will help to increase the bacterial grow on the new rocks Clean/shake Ultralith every day, this is important and brings the corals food and helps to reduce the nutrition. ( ULTRALITH ARE THE ZEOLITH ROCKS ) B: Ultramin S Initially in combination with Ultrabak, 3 ml each per 1000 L per day. After nutrient levels have dropped significantly, slowly reduce the dose to 2 ml per 1000 L per day. In tanks with extreme nutrient depletion the dose can be reduced to 1 ml per 1000 L per day. ULTRAMIN S IS THE MAIN NUTRIENT SOLUTION FOR THE CORALS AND REDUCES ONLY A LITTLE BIT THE NUTRITION OF THE TANK IF YOU OVERDOSE IT YOU WILL GET AN BACTERIAL GROWN ON THE GLASS WHICH YOU CAN SEE AS AN SLIGHLTY WHITE GREENISH FILM ; IF THAT HAPPENS THEN REDUCE THE DOSING OF 30 % ULTRAMIN S IS THE BASE FOOD SOLUTION AND WILL MAKE THE CORALS MORE COLORFUL AND GIVES A BETTER GROW IT IS ALSO HIGH CONCENTRATED SO DO NOT OVERDOSE IT: C: UltraBak: At the beginning of the Ultralith method in combination with Ultramin S, 3 ml each per 1000 L per day. After nutrient levels start to drop, slowly reduce the dose to 2 ml per 1000 L per day. In tanks with extreme nutrient depletion the dose can be reduced to 1 ml per 1000 L per day. ULTRABAK IS THE BACTERIAL FOOD AND GIVES A STRONG NUTRIENT REDUCTION AND MAKE THE CORALS MORE BRIGT IF THE TANK IS VERY LOW NUTRITRION YOU HAVE TO REDUCE THE DOSING OR START WITH ONLY 1 ML IF ULTRABAK WILL BE OVERDOSED YOUR CORALS WILL GET TO BRIGHT: D: UltraBio: When starting the Ultralith method use 1 drop per 100 L per day for 2 weeks, directly into the tank or into the intake of the Zeolite filter. After a one-week break repeat the procedure for 2 weeks. After each dosing it is advisable to turn off the skimmer for 2 to 3 hours. ULTRABIO ARE THE BACTERIAS TO INCREASE THE BACTERIAL WORK IT IS NECESSARY AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH DOSING TO GET THE RIGHT BACTERIAS IN THE TANK. THEY WILL REDUCE THE NUTRITION TOGETHER WITH ULTRABAK: AFTER THIS DOSING IT IS NORMALY NOT NECESSARY TO DOSE THE BACTERIAS EVERY DAY IT WILL BE OK TO DOSE THE BACTERIA AFTER EACH CHANGE OF THE ZEOLITHES: E: Ultra Amin: 1 ml per 100 L per day. Through a special preservation, this solution can be used in dosing (peristaltic) pumps. IF YOU HAVE VERY BRIGHT COLORS OR TO LOW NUTRITION YOU CAN ADD ULTRA-AMIN AS A STRONG FOOD AND COLORBOOSTER TOGETHER WITH ULTRA-ORGANIC ( Which is a Trace element Solution) THIS IS SOMETIMES NECESSARY IF THE REDUCTION OF THE NUTRITION IS TO FAST YOU WILL SEE ONE DAY LATER HOW THE CORALS GET THE COLOR BACK AND CAN FIND OUT THE RIGHT DOSING FOR THE SYSTEM: THIS PRODUCTS ARE NORMALY NOT USED AT THE FIRST FEW WEEKS,IF THE TANK HAS FROM BEGINNING A LOW NUTRITION THE IT CAN BE NECESSARY TO ADD ONE OF THE BOTH PRODUCTS D: UltraCarb L: Permanent use, 500 ml per 1000 L. Exchange completely every 4 weeks CARBON IS NECESSARY TO REDUCE THE COLOR OF THE WATER BRINGS MORE LIGHT IN AND REDUCES THE LEVEL OF THE CORAL-TOXINES Many greetings Claude Last edited by Fauna Marin; 09-13-2008 at 09:23 AM. |

![]() I will be posting here shortly a step by step for dosing a 400L system (approx 105 US gallons) that everyone can apply to their own system.
I should have this posted by Monday. This is the beauty with the system its so flexible and easy to dose and importantly cheap to maintain. Last edited by Aqua-Digital; 09-13-2008 at 02:22 PM. |

![]() I'd love to see more of the before and after photos. Its one thing to read about a system, but to see photos, like what you've provided, gives the system a whole new depth. Of course, everything is different between systems, but still, its great to see photos.
