I have to admit I think some of the points made on AP are valid. But it sounds like both you and the original poster have a good handle on how to keep your tangs happy.
There will always be exceptions to the rules.

Unfortunately I can not read AP forums the Sig lines and Tank info drowned out the content. It drives me insane
