You'll find a "Herbie" to be the most quiet. Simple other than you need two drain holes and a valve.

HGB Standpipe for smaller overflows, I find these to work best for most applications. I usually bump up the sizes to 1.25" pipe and 2" Coupling.

i really like that HGB. are they hard to adjust just right?
