Default Sweet finds!

I stopped in at RC today and came home with more clams. Very very pretty clams, with a really nice set of price tags! I also walked away with a few more SPS colonies. There were also some very beautiful purple anthias that I have my eye on.

Thanks Kevin!

Pictures can't do justice on the colours of the clams.

Careful, I just killed 4 purple anthias, they hid and didn't eat for the 3 months I had them. Research afterwards told me I shouldn't have bought them...

I've been reading up on them this afternoon, and I'm finding a lot of hit and miss accounts. They were just so pretty in the store, no nipped fins, been in QT for 5 weeks, no visible chasing, and Kevin said they were all eating. In the very least someone is going to be getting a healthy batch of purple anthias.

Can you tell me more about your experience with them? Maybe in a PM since this is Kevin's vendor forum.

I was unsupervised today, had free reign, and ran amuck! It was fun! I'm sure I'll be back again soon, a nice little birdie told me about the potential for more clams!

There is one purple acropora that came home with me and it just pops under the T5s. A nice little find!

Catherine thanks for dropping by today with some fish food and a little time to chat. Very enjoyable. I don't know if you noticed the one pink anthias in with the purple ones. That one was in the store since before I bought it and it eats like a pig. I call the pink one TEACH and its on its third set of anthias. They eat frozen brine shrimp and I havn't had time to teach them to eat mysis or flake. Four of that group has been spoken for but there is 16 left. I need to move teach onto its fourth set of students.

The answer to that is a definite no. I went again, and came home with a fish, and a starfish. I am definitely bad.

Another tang, I just about came home with the harem of purple anthias, but decided against it since I am away right now. Its another Vlamingi tang, to replace the one that jumped on me.
