What is it that you do that you know how to make those calculations?

I'm a mechanical design engineer, I design load pins and cells for custom applications among other things.

Wes, to include a carbon tray you'll need to extend the third baffle up a bit so it's higher than the water level in the refugium or skimmer chamber. Then the tray would simply hang on that baffle allowing water to pass through it. Sorry I'm not going to draw everything, I don't have that much time.

I use Solidworks with the Cosmoworks add-on for FEA analysis. And yes I really should be working. I have Ansys as well, but I'm not using that as much as it takes a little longer to setup due to having to transfer geometry from solidworks.
