I am wondering about this, too. With freshwater I had F1 electric yellows and the whole idea was to breed them to each other to strengthen the line. It is called "line breeding". I had no idea this might be different for saltwater fish.

That would depend...you don't know if their parents were already siblings (likely). I just wouldn't risk it, it's not like they're hard to find.
