I'm wanting to do a WC soon, but my hydrometer (IO) is out of wack! It's been holding fresh water (from the tap) over night, and still reads all the way to the top. No little air bubbles that I can see. Tried it on my FW tanks w. same result.

Is it hooped? What's a refractometer go for? TIA

Refractometers are a little over $50. on-line (plus shipping), not sure what they sell for locally. Few people parting out their systems in the Buy and Sell sections, might find one there. |

Works well! ![]() BUT, it sounds like your hydrometer is toast if it's reading right at the top using fresh water!!! Buy a new one, they're only $8. |
