![]() yeah, that looks like it would flood for sure if the power goes out. You should leave a good 3 or 4" from the top for tank flow back into the sump with power outages. Just the water in the pipes alone will flood that sucker.

![]() yeah you will want to cut down those baffles. About 3/4 height from tank would be enough this way you will leave lots of space incase of P/O.

Here's a 60 gallon sump I just made: ![]() ![]() and a schematic of it: ![]() Right now it is on my 125G. FW tank hence the bioballs and ceramic rings. I use the air powered sponge filter for a quick filter should I need a q tank plus it keeps the sump cleaner. Thinking ahead (for SW) I arranged the middle glass baffles to allow for a DSB or refugium space. Last edited by Dale; 02-22-2008 at 04:05 AM. |
