| New Algae Id plz I have noticed a couple of different types of algae and plant in my tank lately. I was wondering first what they are and if they are good or bad. Thanks Cody http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...d/NewAlgae.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1.../HairAlgae.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1...Longplant1.jpg http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e1.../Longplant.jpg I have recently bought a bunch more zebra hermits and the have been doing a pretty good job cleaning up the hair algae. As the hair algea dissapears these new ones appear. Last edited by Coderad; 01-26-2008 at 09:18 PM. |

| First picture along with the Hair (which you need to get control of) is Halimeda (good). Second picture Hair trying to smother your zoos. 3/4 type of Caulerpa. Not always bad but I wouldn't have in my dispaly but in a refugium where I could keep it from getting out of control. |
