The SPCA deals with horrific things. My Mom is the manager of the branch here and I tell ya, I couldn't do the job she does. Hats off to those that do as it is so hard to prosecute, punish or anything. Sad.

So the best way to help ensure that future offenders get their due, is to sign up, write a letter, make your voice be heard

Bill S213 has actually been passed but it's really lacking in many areas

A private members bill C373 is still in the works (I believe) which is more comprehensive and will better protect those who can't help themselves
