Yeah...your urchin got a little excited
 Mine always did that when I added a larger than usual amount of fresh top-off water.

Yup, you've got a male. The females release tiny eggs. I've got 4 Tuxedo Urchins, 2 for sure are female. Hoping they'll breed in captivity, but I'm not sure how the life cycle will work in a tank full of corals.
