Thumbs up

Wow! Makes those SPS tanks look dull and boring. What do you use for lighting?

Thanks everyone, I have 260 watts PC light, and an additional 150 watts regular output T5 light. It suffices, but I would eventually like to redo my setup and try some halide lighting.

I like the new aquascape..i bet your tangs are loving the extra space! I redid mine last week to give more space aswell..i'm not a big fan of the tank full of rocks to the top look. As long as there is about 1.5lbs of LR per g it will be enough to keep the tank stable. I personally think your tank would look even better than it does already with MH I just love the shimmer and shadows it brings.

Thanks again! Yeah I really do like the look of halide lighting, with the shimmer and all. But I think if I went with it then I would be tempted just to redo my entire setup so I could keep some nicer sps. All in good time I guess!

Jason, I have no clue what type of chalice it is. I got it about 2 years ago out at OA, and I dont think I asked when I bought it. It was about half the size too..... has grown a bit. My neon goby likes to sit on it and the cave goby sits under it, hehe. Sometimes it puffs up huge like the brain coral.

Oh I forgot to ask how long you have had your red seastar? I had a blue 1 but it sadly died on me..not sure why..just wondering what you do to keep them happy. I heard they have a short life span maybe mine was already quite old.. still unsure of the cause.
