Default NO bulbs on a IceCap

Anybody know off hand if NO bulbs will burn any brighter on a IceCap ballast. I kinda figure they will only burn to what the bulb was designed for, but am curious. I want to add a touch of actinic lighting to my Radiums, was thinking of adding some NO bulbs as opposed to VHO as they are considerably cheaper.

I tried NO's for a couple months on a 660 Icecap. I think the useful life of the bulb is drasticaly reduced. I no longer use them.
