Not so, but only to a degree. Crosshatch triggers and Bluethroat triggers in particular are planktivores, so tend to be good reef tank citizens. There are others that are maybe possible (eg. Niger triggers, HumuHumo or Picasso triggers), depending on what else you have. And then there are some that belong in aggressive-fish-only FOWLR tanks, definitely not reefs (eg. Clown triggers).

In all liklihood I will be keeping them for a while which is ok with me! Generally speaking there are very few hobbists out there with the adequate environment for this species, and also prepared to make the financial commmitment (if you look up this species you will see they are not cheap!)

Hey Mark - generally speaking I think you are correct. The only reefsafe triggers to my knowledge are the crosshatch and the bluethroat.

I am not sure if they are a mated pair, they were however shipped from the supplier as a pair. Generally when you see crosshatches they arrive as individuals, but I guess it is possible these two are mated. They certainly act like a mated pair.
