It's half cm-thick cell-cast acrylic: should be manly enough to survive the bump.

Looks like the part number is PT352VDE but nothing comes up on online search

Maybe not but Hagen does have a model PT-352 pond pump. Im guessing the "VDE" is for the special mods that were done (if the rumour is true).

The pumps are of the same lineage as the Laguna Maxflow series. However, they're custom manufactured by Askoll for Royal Exclusive. Hahnmeister on RC went through a lot of work trying to replicate them with stock Laguna pumps. Not quite the same, but he came close with a lot of effort.
