How long have you had him?
Is he in the tank with anybody else?
Do you have a feeding prong or feeding tube?
This might help us with your problem.

Black/blue ribbon eels are the hardest to keep eels in the trade. They're worse than moorish idols and are better left in the ocean. If you really really want a ribbon eel, get a white one. I don't want to be an ass but I do want to let others know how it is.

But since you already have one, Live is basically your only option. make sure you have a very steady supply of live such as ghost shrimp. Most of these eels don't live long enough to be weaned on to frozens. Good luck.
