so, has anyone else here ventured into this method?? after reading the RC thread over the past few days, i'm gonna give er a shot. i've gotten all the ingredients to make up the pappone yesterday and concoted that nasty green smoothie. i've just got to get me some amino acids...i'll start feeding tomorrow night and see what happens!

might just do that...regardless i'll report back and note how it works out for my tank.

I read the threads and other than the AA's I feed a commercial mix that's similar. I find it much easier to handle than trying to make a batch of the pappone, I figure I'd go broke buying icecube trays to make a full batch.
Frankly, I think a tank would have to be fairly mature with significant growth in the first place to justify making the mixture, my tank may be ready for it in a year or two.

good point...what similar commercial mix is it that you use Doug?

so last night i started with amino acids 1 hour before light out then dosed the pappone at lights out. had some decent polyp extension, nothing too outta the ordinary. i tested parameters this morning and all was fine so i'll dose again in a few days perhaps.
