KEEP UP THE EFFORT.
It will be well worth it in the end. Try not to kill your fish in the process.

And just a side note: think of all the money that used to go to smokes that you can funnel into your aquarium fund

Congrats and all the best.

... I never knew quitting could be so bad for your health though....

Good for you (in the long run, even if it sounds like a living hell in the short run).

My dad quit cold turkey a 2 pack/day habit (25+yrs) when I was in grade 9 when his doctor showed him an X-ray of his lungs & told him he'd be dead in 6 months. I made him sign a contract to buy my mom, my bro, sis & I each a brand new car of our choice if we ever caught him with another cigarette. That would have made it a six-figure smoke, so he decided to stay off & he's still alive today after more than 20 years (since his doc gave him 6 months tops).

So, good luck & it'll be worth it in the end.

Anthony

The best way to look at it

My grandmother smoked 2.5 packs a day for over 50 years and one day she just quit cold turkey and started putting that money everyday into a jar and then at the end of the week she takes out all the money and buys heroin she says it's a much better fix than nicotine

Good luck in quitting it will be worth it later in life

My wife and I quit smoking 6 1/2 years ago ( I smoked for 20+ years ) ... the first few weeks I could not get the thought of a cigarette out of my mind ALL DAY long ... then after a few months instead of thinking about it every few minutes it subsided to maybe hours ... then eventually days ... then months and finally no cravings at all

It was the most difficult challenge I have yet to face but it is definately worth it

Stick to your guns ... you made the right decision to leave cigarettes in your past and you will enjoy the sense of taste and smell that will quickly return as a nice bonus not to mention adding years to your life
