Found an octopus in my pocket!

Wow that is very cool. Not something that happens every day!!

When I was 11 and visiting my sister (who lives down under) I picked up a shell from a beach near Taronga Zoo and put it in my pocket. Although it wasn't a bluering octopus that turned out to be hitching a ride, just a hermit.

Very Cool, It'll be fine. He probably feasts on stuff trapped in the tide pools, and never goes out to the big open Sea.

It didnt bite you? When I was on the west coast of the island I picked up one in a tide pool and it was about the size of a quarter and started to feast on my hand. Little bugger wouldnt let go and bit me about six times ... so now he is in his own little aquarium.

sorry to hijack your thread. But ya he is doing fine and eats alot. I dont have a chiller in his tank becuase it is right near a window and keeps the tank about 2 degrees warmer than the ocean. He will probaly be going back to the ocean soonish becuase it is a giant pacific octopus... One of the wickedist animals that i have ever kept.
