Default Mexican holiday

Just got back late late late last night from Cancun, the trip was amazing to say the least. I've got over a thousand photos to go through but I'll post some soon. We took a tour of XCaret, an archiological site that is right on the ocean. In the fresh water river that runs through it there is a zone where the ocean tide mixes with the fresh water and it's a little salty but not much (brackish). There were tangs and angel fish the size of dinner plates in there, huge schools of tangs, I'm still not sure which tangs they were but I'll try to figure it out. Once in the tidal area there were groupers, triggers, a ton more angels and a number of small barracuda. We saw the Loggerheads, dolphin experience and a ton of other stuff. Like I say I'll post some pictures soon, sadly I don't have an underwater camera so all the pics will be of uninteresting surface stuff.

Doug.

Went down there in 2000. Man it was awesome and I can't believe it's been 7 years now. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Looking forward to seeing some pics.

Default Disposable Camera

Sigh ... the memories ... We were in Playa Del Carmen in '04. Visited Cancun as well.

We just bought one of those disposable underwater cameras down there and the shots came back a lot nicer than we thought they would. Check one out - they are not bad at all!
