The ones from the coast or somewhere else?
The ones I'm thinking of, from the coast, (I could be wrong about what they are) look intertidal to me. I've personally sworn off intertidal snails (that includes marguerites and nerites) because mostly I just found their dried out shells in various places in the room. The best snails I've ever had are .. um ... shoot I never remember their names. Turbans maybe? Look a little like an astrea, but a smoother shell. There seem to be a few different kinds, some with strawberry colours in their shell, some with black flesh. Hardy and long-lived, and effective grazers.
