![]() ABS fittings can be used in aquariums. they are not rated for potable water applications because most ABS is cell cast and is not designed to withstand the high pressures used in potable water applications (sched.40, sched.80 etc...). Our aquariums don't acheive those kind of pressures however.

![]() I am using a ABS street el in a durso because at the time I couldn't locate a PVC one. The algae always is very heavy on the ABS and minimal on the PVC, makes me wonder why.
