Many have used it for many years...
My 65 is full of pvc painted in krylon epoxy enamel (built a manifold for the return). Been running just fine since 05... You wont find any statistical data - krylon has no interest in marketing for aquarium use... Heck you can't even get silicone that doesn't say "not for aquariums" anymore.
