![]() i currently have hundreds of tiny white cucoons in my sump and some in the main tank, they dont seem to be hurting any thing. they are more of an eye sore then anything. Does anyone know the name of these things and where do they come from?

![]() They are probably a type of sponge. This is good because they are filter feeding from the water helping keep nutrients down.

![]() I agree. Some form of ball sponge perhaps. These are good for your water quality because they filter a lot of water for their size/volume. Also a fav. food of angelfish & butterfly fish.

![]() Pineapple sponges. Super annoying and they multiply pretty quickly. If you decide to get rid of them, make sure you siphon them up well or they'll just relocate to other parts of your sump and tank.
