Ours is in the laundry room, so it's good for that ocassional cold water load. I even got motivated once and stuck a heater in there to do a warm load.
 I'd like to run it outside for the dog pool....hmm..

I run mine into my washer, works great, never have to worry about it over flowing if you are just using a pail.
It works well for us as we have our daughter, her hubby and our grandaughter (she just turned 1), so they do lots of laundry. I always have RO water on hand, so it doesn't take long to fill the washer LOL Lee
