![]() Been reading a lot on aquatraders and these lighting units, some have had them work for years, others have had the ballasts fizzle after plugging them in.
I am not going to risk it, my main reasoning is due to the increased potential fire hazard due to cheap ballasts. Apparantly the fixtures themselves are quite nice looking though, so I might consider buying a fixture, gutting it, and installing my own ballasts and bulbs. |

![]() Just a FYI.
Aquatraders has pretty bad rep on RC. |

![]() Thanks guys. More comments welcome especially if there's anyone here who's actually bought one of these.

![]() Hi Steve I bought one from E-bay before and the lights came and the bulbs was broken. However I see this seller will send new bulbs if they are damaged.
My lights worked great and is the same as the Coralife ones I had before. The only thing I had a hard time was the Jebo lights only had one switch for the lights so I can not get the actinics to come on first. I had to spend some extra effort to work it around. Cheers |

![]() Yeah I'm thinking now of just going with a retrofit kit or two. Probably just end up buying local.
