Yeah, as long as the beach you collect them from is clean. I've used shore crabs to feed my fish in the past. If you're not sure, set up a small tank of clean water outside or in a cool area & let the crabs stay there for a while to "detox"

Yeah, those nasty hitchhiker crabs should make a nice treat in your fowlr.
