Love that porcupine puffer. My wife loves those but they need to eat stuff like little shore crabs to stay healthy I think. Otherwise their jewel-like eyes go dull & many of them get sick. There must be something in the shell that they need, but this is a theory told to me by an old time fishguy & I've seen & heard other evidence that it may be true. What does your little puffer eat?

Perfect I'll feed him that little bastard crab I found in my reef tank wooo!

He's eating mainly large chunks of krill, brine, mysis, etc. He wont eat NLS hehe. We give them an occational mussel or clam as well.

Could we feed him little crabbies we find on the beach? I have a beach a couple minutes walk from my house with tons of little crabbies.

Yeah, as long as the beach you collect them from is clean. I've used shore crabs to feed my fish in the past. If you're not sure, set up a small tank of clean water outside or in a cool area & let the crabs stay there for a while to "detox" Yeah, those nasty hitchhiker crabs should make a nice treat in your fowlr.
