I'm in the process of building an overflow box for a 65gal tank I just drilled. I was originally going "coast to coast", but decided to just have a larger corner overflow with the drain in the back glass panel.

I like the coast to coast also I think it would take the stress off the bottom

Sorry about that Stan, but DanG is right, you need to become a member of Greef Central, before you can view it. Basically the advantage of the center overflow is that is skims more of the tank water as it is 3 sided vs the 1 side of a corner overflow. The nice thing about a corner overflow is that it is easier to aquascape around and easier to DIY.

What thickness of glass is best to use in building a overflow box?


I have been a member of RC since 2001 but I only have two posts I find the site a little overwhelming at times but I will check it out on the subject.
