Matthew,

My two clones are still in more or less in hiding. Changed the direction of the powerheads just to to see if they move closer to where I want them. Will probably have to adjust the powerheads until I get the flow to match their needs.

As promised, a video update of the two clones, with feeding sequences at the end.

Beverly,

I hope yours come out into the open. Ours is staying more or less where we put it (front and centre), although it did move the first night to hunker down into a crack between two rocks. Since then, it seems happy. I will have to avoid the temptation to overfeed it, since watching it eat is pretty interesting.

We've had the bubble tips showing up on-and-off. It sure looks cool when they're all inflated.

We're very happy with the addition, and are now hoping that the clowns will find and colonize it (which was the whole point).

I enjoyed watching yours on the video.

Best regards,
Matthew

Get out!!! Is that a tank raised ocellaris? Had it for awhile, or a new addition?

I'm green with envy

Have been trying to figure out why my clones keep hiding. Have adjusted water flow way down as Jim suggested in a PM. Today, I, um, er, go ahead spit it out.... Okay. Can't leave well enough alone, for crying out loud!! I removed them from their hiding places with a powerhead, rearranged some rock and they were still heading for the shade. So, thinking light might be the problem, I put several layers of screen material between the light and the glass, which I will slowly remove over the next week or two, or three.

Clown looks great in your clone

I sure hope your clones find a happy place soon.

I feel we''ve been really lucky. It is in quite bright light, but can escape when it wants to in the crack of the rock. The water flow is hard to describe right there, as it is in the nexus between two flows. The flows cancel each other out, and leave it a bit turbulent, but not violent.

We were so thrilled to see the clown start to host there. It really looks ecstatic when it is wallowing in the anemone. That is a tank-raised ocellaris, and the one we've had for awhile. We got another one, slightly smaller, which is starting to make friends... the first day or two was a bully-fest, though.

Best of luck!

Wow! it looks like they have settled in well. Congrats to you both.

Bev, I would leave them alone for a bit and let them settle. My experience over the past year or so with them is that they look for a place in the shade where they can retreat to if they get too much light or get poked but they expand into the light. They seem to light a gentle rustling flow as opposed to heavy flow or still water.

I've not figured out the bubbling part but they all seem to do it on a cyclic basis through the day.

I've never actually fed them directly. They have just picked up what came to them on the wind so to speak. It was neat to see the video though. Very cool.
