I just got one yesterday and I can tell you this, after 20 seconds in the tank, he was on hair-algea-feast mode!!! I woke up this morning and he was still eating with the lights being out!
I should mention though that I acclamatized him over 4 hours and that seemed to work for me. just my 2cents. fresh.
