I don't mind the look at all, it's not as bad as you think.
 The only thing I can maybe think of is that the structure is close to the glass (on the left side in particular is where I'm sort of looking at it). I don't know if it's possible to narrow the diameter any, or somehow taper the structure more perhaps? The side profiles are awesome though.
