Hi all
In my 90 ,40Ibs of live rock mounted on mixture of corals s oft,lps and sps from old tank.New r/o water with oceanic salt. Day 3 corals are doing good. I did'nt test the water yet.The question is it ok to put my Fox face as the first fish in the tank on day 7. Thank you all! |

I think you are putting your corals at risk by cycling with them in the new tank. I had to wait 3 weeks for my nutrient levels to settle down even though I used mostly old tank water & live rock from my old tanks. Keep a very close eye on your levels because corals really are sensitive to bad water quality, such as you'll find during the cycling process.

Here is an up date
Add the foxface on day 12 , lots of bryopsis growing in the tank.So far no brown algae. |

I would be worried about the bryopsis more than brown algae - that is a real pain to get rid of and takes over very quick. The only thing that really eats it is a nudibranch and high ph to kill it off and thats over a long period of time. The foxface will eat hair algae - not bryopsis . Hopefully its just hair algae.
