 Anyway, do they make higher wattage mini PC's for that light? I know Panosonic has an ulta white energy saver at 26 watts that compares to a 110 watt bulb. It way brighter than any energy saver I've seen. You could try monti caps, the worste that will happen is them fading. I had candy corals in a tank under NO lighting that lived, they didn't grow a lot though.
