![]() I had 2 peppermint shrimp, now I'm down to one. Neither of them seems to care for the 2 aptasia in my tank. I've read so much about peppermint shrimp and everything is saying it's completly hit or miss.

![]() How do you distinguish which peppermint is the real macoy? This maybe my problem in the past, not obtaining the right specie. Maybe you have a few pointers to how I can identify the right one for the job. what should I look for in terms of appearance wise.
I know which specie to obtain, just don't know how to differentiate them apart without having them both of the readily availble in the pet store. ![]() |

![]() I had the same result as DanG, my 2 pepermint shrimp didn't take a liking to my aptasia. I saw a thread somewhere that people were using the water they use to rinse/defrost their frozen food (mysis or brine shrimp) and mix Kalk in it after they pour it off. The aptasia sence a feeding and suck the kalk soaked water up and quickly melt away. Other than that I use a mix of boiling saturated Kalk to blast em....but am thinking about trying this new method!
