![]() Well the power compacts are out.. I added one 175w 10k halide and my NO actinics are now running on an IceCap 430 (at least 2 times brighter blue). I may still add one PC.. This picture doesn't capture the colours or the effect of that halides as much as I wish it could but it's not bad.. here ya go!

![]() Hello One Divided,
Nice tank....incidently, why did you switch to 175W MH. I would have though that the original 2x96W PC would be brighter. Nothing wrong with the MH (looks really good ), but just curious as to why.... - Victor. |

![]() I switched to the halide for several reasons. First off, I wasn't intending to put a halide on this tank but I got a good deal on the hamilton ballast and socket ($80).. Bulb was another $140.. The light distribution allows me to keep sps happy in the upper center of the tank and certain softies happy in the mid to lower sides. I also wanted the halide for look of course!
Steve, I'll sell you those PCs if you are interested.. I don't think I need them.. |

![]() For those in Vancouver: Westcoast Lighting in PoCo, sells many good industrial lighting supplies.. Mainly Advance Ballasts, which are preferred.
FlameAngel P/s Now it's just the bulbs which JL kills us for LOL [ 25 October 2001: Message edited by: FlameAngel ] |
