Oh man, sorry to hear.
I know the feeling. A month ago I was sitting in my living room and heard an odd cracking noise and then rushing water.... Turned out that my overflow had cracked. I basically froze and was lucky that my fiance was the one to jump into action and turn off the return pump and get some buckets. What a terrible experience.
